What is Borage Seed Oil?

Borage oil is obtained from borage plant also called starflower plant. The oil is rich in the essential fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). The fatty acid is primarily produced by three oils: evening prime rose oil, borage oil, and black currant seed, of the three this oil has the highest concentration of the GLA fatty acids. The plant is found throughout Europe and North Africa.
