Life was simple but wonderful in the farm. We work in our small plots of land, all day; carefully sowing the seeds, watering the crops, taking out the weeds, and harvesting the vegetables that are ready. We care for the land and the land provides us with food year after year. We do business with other farmers and the good people of the Andy Anand Farm.
Every day, after work, I go home to the sound of my children's laughter. They run up to me as soon as they see me. Each of them would give me a breathless kiss on the cheek. My wife would always step out, too. I would present her with vegetables I harvested that day. She would smile her wide-eyed smile, take the vegetables, kiss me on the cheek, and said, "Thank you, Chirag. This would make a lovely dinner." Every day, I feel more and more blessed to have Jasleen and our children in my life.
One evening as Jasleen set the table and we all sat down to eat, she asked, "Will you be going to Andy Anand's farm tomorrow and sell the rest of the produce?" I sell Brahmi, Neem, Turmeric, and other herbs to the Andy Anand Farm regularly; they are my best customers. "Yes. They are expecting me in the morning." Jasleen smiled and said, "Good. I will wrap them up nicely." I breathed a sigh of contentment.
I closed my eyes and said a silent prayer hoping that everyday would be just as beautiful as today
